I'm Shelley Lenz.

Candidate for ND House District 37 · Dickinson

Bringing the problem-solving mindset of a veterinarian and small business owner to state government.

For nearly twenty years, I've owned and operated State Avenue Veterinary Clinic in Dickinson. I've spent years hiring employees, training future professionals, and navigating the rising cost of healthcare. The challenges North Dakota families face aren't abstract to me—they're part of my work every day. That's why I'm running: to bring practical solutions to workforce shortages, healthcare costs, and opportunities for the next generation.

Priorities

Strong Workforce

People stay when they can build a life.
Grow our own talent, help employers compete, and make western North Dakota a place where working people can afford to build a life.

Attainable Healthcare

Healthcare costs are outpacing what families, schools, and small businesses can pay.
Protect what already works, target the gaps that remain, and strengthen the rural healthcare network we depend on.

Quality Education

An educated community is a thriving community.
Support the people who teach, invest in the places students learn, and connect education directly to opportunity.
