WORKFORCE.   HEALTHCARE.  BUILT FOR NORTH DAKOTA.

I'm Shelley Lenz.

Candidate for North Dakota House, District 37

Bringing the problem-solving mindset of a veterinarian and small business owner to state government.

For nearly two decades, I've owned and operated State Avenue Veterinary Clinic in Dickinson. I've spent years hiring employees, training future professionals, and navigating the rising cost of healthcare. The challenges North Dakota families face aren't abstract to me—they're part of my work every day. That's why I'm running: to bring practical solutions to workforce shortages, healthcare costs, and opportunities for the next generation.

My Priorities

Strong Workforce

Connecting education directly to careers through career and technical training, apprenticeships, and partnerships with local employers.

Attainable Healthcare

Lowering healthcare costs for working families, farmers, ranchers, self-employed North Dakotans, and small businesses who are being squeezed by rising premiums.

Quality Education

Supporting our schools, Dickinson State University, and SWCTE so young people can build successful careers right here in North Dakota.
